We are the type of people who pick up litter on the beach while walking—it’s just what we do naturally, without a second thought, because we believe it makes for a better environment and world. We apply the same principles to our work. We do the right thing for both the environment and our clients, every day, with every skip, large or small.
Greg, the founder of Eco Skip Hire Adelaide, started in the skip industry back in 1988. As he gained experience, he became increasingly concerned about the amount of waste going to landfill. This concern drove him to create a more sustainable waste management solution.
Time for Change
Never satisfied with the status quo, Greg founded Eco Skip Hire to make a real difference. We believe great decisions lead to great outcomes, which is why we invested in user-friendly skips with doors—making loading safer, quicker, and more efficient.
We also prioritised sustainability, aiming for a near-100% recycling rate. By partnering with charities, community organisations, and accredited recycling companies, we ensure skip contents—like fuel, fertiliser, soil, concrete, timber, and steel—are reused repeatedly, minimising our environmental impact.
Making a Difference One Skip at a Time
Every week, we recycle over 30 cubic metres of timber—the equivalent of two large trees. So, when you dispose of a hardwood deck or outdoor furniture, it doesn’t go to waste. Instead, it’s processed into compost or construction materials, extending its lifecycle.
We also send 30+ cubic metres of green waste for recycling each week, transforming it into fertiliser that nourishes plants and helps absorb carbon—ensuring nothing goes to waste.
